FAQ

What are the documents required to become an eligible borrower?

CID Card of the borrower

CID card of the a Guarantor and an Nominee of ages between 18 and 60

Lagthram for (Agriculture, Hire purchase and farm machinery loans)

BOBL account with minimum of 3 months pre saving

Family Tree and MC of the borrower to indicate the borrowers relationship to nominee

Why should I have a BOBL account or maintain 3 months of pre saving.

It is essential to understand that TMF will be making routine or auto EMI deductions without having the customer go to the nearest bank and a 3 month pre-saving so that our credit officers can assess the clients saving habits and income.

Who is a nominee?

The Borrower must have a Nominee to co-sign the loan contract as a loan transfer Nominee. It is recommended that the Nominee is the Borrower’s spouse (or another legitimate immediate family member such as parents or in-laws) if possible. The obligation to repay is transferred to the Nominee if the Borrower becomes deceased or otherwise incapable to repay the loan

Who is a guarantor?

A guarantor is required for all individual loans except Hire Purchase Loans. Guarantor can also be from the same family but different source of income has to be provided.

Guarantors must be between the age of 18 and 60.

Guarantor should demonstrate the capacity to support loan repayments in the case of loan repayment delay or default:

Has a steady income source and/or regular income generating activities that are different from the Borrower’s.

Regular monthly income is greater than the Borrower’s monthly loan instalment amount

Must be able to show proof of the stated income source and amount

What is the amount, rate of interest and the loan period offered?

Tarayana Micro Finance offers loans from minimum of Nu. 30,000 to Nu. 500,000. The interest rate is 15% (p.a) with a maximum loan period of 2 years

Do I have to visit the office to apply the loan? Are there any other means if I am living in another district?

Tarayana Micro Finance does not have physical forms for the clients to apply as all the credit appraisals are online and will be conducted through calls and other social media apps. The clients can also apply through the nearest Tarayana Field Officer who will help verify your details and signing of documents.
