KESANG CHODEN

Aum Kesang Choden worked as an Operations Specialist from 2015 to 2016 at United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Somalia after serving as the Operations Manager for UNDP, Bhutan Office. In mid-2017, she volunteered for Tarayana Foundation for 6 months. She has 18 years of experience working under the Ministry of Finance in the areas of aid management and programming, program and project management; and government financial management.

CHIME P. WANGDI

Aum Chime P. Wangdi is the adviser of the Tarayana Foundation. Prior to it, she was the head of Policy and Planning Division in the Ministry of Agriculture, the Royal Government of Bhutan. Chime has dedicated herself to the cause of poverty alleviation in Bhutan for the last 30 years in various capacities including that of Programme Coordinator for the Integrated Horticulture Development Programme, seeking out interventions that bring in cash income as well as improved household nutrition. She is a trained horticulturist by profession and a social worker at heart.

ANGELINA OGUMA

Ms. Angelina Oguma is a Partner in Oliver Wyman’s Financial Services practice based in Singapore. She initially joined Oliver Wyman and Company’s Frankfurt office and transferred to the Asia Pacific Region in 2003. Angelina is a trusted CEO advisor and has worked with banks, regulators, and multilateral development agencies in Europe, Australia and Asia. Until the end of 2019, Angelina was Oliver Wyman’s co-head of India and Southeast Asia, and a member of the Asia Pacific Management team. She then scaled down her work commitment to volunteer for Tarayana MicroFinance and other social impact causes in Bhutan.

Karma T dorji

KARMA THINLEY DORJI

Mr. Karma Thinley Dorji is presently the promoter of Drukpro Bhutan, a social enterprise that produces Premium Limited Bhutanese products. He has worked with Bhutan Development Bank Limited (BDBL) from 1995 to 2015. With over 14 years of experience at BDBL, Karma has expertise in the fields of Credit and Microfinance. Following this, Karma served as an Executive Director for SABAH Bhutan from 2015 to 2018. For 4 years, Karma has led the promotion of welfare for home-based workers through his role at SABAH Bhutan which is a SAARC initiated project under the SAARC Development Fund that worked with home-based workers to promote Bhutanese textiles and Organic Food production.

Ms Sonam Pem

Ms Sonam Pem a passionate social development worker dedicated to making a positive impact on communities for over 18 years. With a strong commitment to social justice and equality, I have been actively involved in various projects and initiatives aimed at empowering marginalized populations in rural Bhutan. Currently, she holds the position of Executive Director, where she oversees the implementation of programs that promote sustainable development and improve the lives of individuals and communities. As an Executive Director for Tarayana Foundation, she is responsible for strategic planning, resource mobilization, and overall management of the organization working closely with stakeholders, partners, and team members to ensure the successful implementation of projects that address pressing social issues across 450 villages.

Ms Tashi Euden dorji

Ms Tashi Euden Dorji, is a dedicated and detail-oriented legal professional from Bhutan. With a passion for law and a commitment to excellence, she is currently serving as a Legal Analyst at Druk Holdings and Investments Ltd. (DHI) in Thimphu, Bhutan. As a Legal Analyst with a strong educational foundation and practical experience, she is committed to delivering high-quality legal support to organization and She bring a strong academic background and practical to contribute effectively to the organization. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the Royal Institute of Management in Bhutan and has also worked for the STCBL as a Company Secretary & Legal Counsel 5 years previously.

Mr. Kinzang Thinley holds MBA in Public Management from University of Canberra and B.Com Honours from Sherubtse College. Compassionate and dedicated senior banker/credit manager with 15 years of experience in the financial sector well versed in credit and monitoring and internal auditing. A critical thinker with ability to administer appropriate care in timely manner with calm demeanor, carrying out instructions with efficiency and determination. Team player dedicated to workplace satisfaction through mentoring.
